Spicy Spinach Dip Pin It

Today is Thirsty Thursday!


That means FUN with a capital “F”!

All my girlfriends show up after work or 2:30pm which ever comes first. HA!

Everyone brings a bottle of wine and a snack to share.

How cool is that?

I don’t really cook dinner tonight either so double WOOHOO! It’s my “night off”.

Plus… I’m not hungry after I’ve been eating all these yummy snacks and the hubby usually comes home when there is plenty left.

So it’s a WIN-WIN for all of us!

Today… I’m making my “snack” in the Crock Pot!

Ohhhhhh! Ahhhhhhhh!

I know…SHOCKER right?? LOL!

I’ve never made an appetizer in the crock pot… so this should be interesting.

I LOVE me some Spinach Dip and when I saw this recipe I knew this would be perfect for our Thirsty Thursday get-together!

OK… ladies… and gentlemen… GET YOUR CROCK POTS STARTED!!

Spicy Spinach Dip

Spicy Spinach Dip


  1. 2 (10 oz) packages of frozen spinach, thawed and all excess water squeezed out
  2. 1 (16 oz) Pepper Jack Velveeta (or Jalapeno Velveeta)
  3. 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  4. 1 (3 oz) package cream cheese
  5. 1 tablespoon garlic powder


  1. Combine all ingredients in your crock pot
  2. Cover and cook on low 3-4 hours or on high about one hour
  3. Stir a few times during the cooking process


I only used 1 teaspoon of Garlic Powder... my husband doesn't do well with too much and I love him more than Garlic.... sooooo I made the command decision. Use more if you like! CLINK!

Serve this with Toasted Crostini and your favorite Tortilla Chips and WINE… Can’t have a Thirsty Thursday without WINE!

The best part about this recipe besides it’s FREAKING YUMMY… is that you can just serve it right out of the Crock Pot!

Hell YEAH! Genius!

One pot…no mess… one thing to clean up.

That’s what I’m talking about… and I’m sure there will be NO leftovers to have to put away either.

Thirsty Thursdays makes you hungry… and when you eat SPICY Spinach Dip… it makes you THIRSTY!

AHHHH… it’s a catch 22 and in a fabulous way! SIGH!

OK… time to take a DIP… BUT there will be AB-SO-LUTELY NO DOUBLE DIPPING!

Get a BOWL! LOL!

I know the recipe calls for 3 oz. of cream cheese. I have never seen that in the store…. I am just the messenger. I just cut an 8oz block of cream cheese in half. What’s one extra ounce of cream cheese?? PURE YUMMY… that’s what. Oh and I couldn’t find Pepper Jack Velveeta… So I got the Jalapeno kind. Same difference… right? OK… back to the DIP in progress. CLINK!
