Are you ready for DAY 2 of CrockPotPalooza?

I am… crock pot is out on the counter and revving UP!

On the menu tonight is….

Beef Stroganoff!

Mmmmm! Makes me drool just thinking about it!

And the best part is … my boys love to eat the “Hamburger Helper” version of this.

Don’t get me wrong… I love me some Hamburger Helper… but there is a TON of stuff in there that can’t be good.

That’s why I like to make it from scratch!

Today one batch is going in the crock pot and is going in a Ziploc Bag and into the freezer.

Let’s get this baby in the POT!

Beef Stroganoff


  1. 1/2 cup minced onion
  2. 1/4 cup butter
  3. 1 lb. stew beef
  4. 1/8 t paprika
  5. 2 cups chopped mushrooms
  6. 3/4 cup sour cream
  7. 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  8. 1/2 cup cream cheese
  9. 1 t. salt
  10. 1 t. pepper


  1. Mix sour cream, cream cheese and mushroom soup in small bowl.
  2. Add all ingredients to a large freezer bag, toss well to coat and freeze.
  3. When ready place ingredients in crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  4. Serve over hot noodles or cooked white rice.

Serve over hot egg noodles with fresh green beans and add a slice of baguette to sop up the extra sauce!

How can you go wrong?

This is pure comfort… from the crock pot!
