Oh Banana Bread! I LOVE YOU!

So amazing and I just need to dirty up one bowl!

Then… I’m expected to wait the longest 30 minutes EVER until the timer goes off.



Who want’s a piece?

MMMMM….. melted butter on top?


OK… here’s the scoop….

You need REALLY ugly bananas!

And if you’re like me… you have some on your counter RIGHT NOW…

…screaming to be the BEST Banana Bread Ever!

Ready to make some Bread?

OK… let’s GO!

Bananas for Banana Bread

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hour

Yield: 1 loaf

Bananas for Banana Bread


  1. 3 or 4 ripe bananas, smashed
  2. 1/3 cup melted butter
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 1 egg, beaten
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla
  6. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  7. Pinch of salt
  8. 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
  2. With a wooden spoon, mix butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in.
  5. Add the flour last, mix. Pour mixture into a buttered 4x8 inch loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes - 1 hour depending of loaf(s)
  7. Cool on a rack.
  8. Remove from pan and slice to serve.


I used 3 mini-loaf pans and set the temp to 400 degrees. Mine were done in 30 minutes!

Good thing too... I couldn't wait any longer!

I turned the loaf out of the pan…

…burnt my hands…

… cut a BIG FAT SLICE…

… and slathered on the BUTTER!
