Aloha Hawaiian Chicken Pin It

Today is January 9th… and it’s supposed to be in the 60′s???? WTH?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. But the last thing I want to be doing tonight is cooking… I’d rather be outside playing with all my boys.

OK… no worries… I’m taking a Freezer Cooked meal out of my freezer, running hot water on it in the sink to thaw, and throwing it in the crock pot! DONE!

WHEW! That was EASY!

So the beauty of freezer cooking is just that…. you spend a little time making dinner and make an extra one and throw it in the freezer for another day.

Then on days where you know you are going to be busy or just don’t have time to mess with dinner when you get home…. go to your freezer! YEAH!

What’s for dinner?? Hawaiian Chicken! Mmmmmmm!

This is great because it has all kinds of yummy-ness going on. Pineapple… Brown sugar… Teriyaki…. what’s not to like?

So… do you want the recipe?

Ok… Let’s go!

Aloha Hawaiian Chicken

Yield: 2 Bags

  1. Split a large bag of Baby Carrots between the 2 bags
  2. Cut Red Onion into Large Chunks and split between the 2 bags
  3. (1) 20oz can pineapple in each bag (undrained)
  4. (2) Garlic Cloves chopped per bag
  5. (4) Chicken Breasts in each bag
  6. 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce in each bag
  7. (2) Tablespoons brown sugar in each bag

  1. *Add 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce to mixture. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 8 hours. Serve over Rice.

I use frozen chicken breasts because it's cheaper and I really hate to touch RAW chicken. I buy a 5 lb. FAMILY SIZE bag at Wal-Mart for around $10

Adapted from * *

30 minutes before dinner … I’ll put some rice in the rice cooker (yes, I am that lazy) and dinner is DONE!
